At home with my allergyby PaulComment: This is by far one of the most unique photographs I've seen in a long time. The viewer has a chance to see this in a couple of ways. My first thought was that the subject (or you) is allergic to flowers. But my eye went to the TV first and continued to do so. After thinking and digger deeper, I'm guessing the subject (or you) is allergic to television.
Your tones really make this pop for me. It has a WW2 type feel. Like something you would see on a billboard. The placment of the subjects is great and conveys your title well. If it's ok, the only thing I might suggest about the photo it a bit more back lighting to avoid the shadow behind her. As ann example, the TV shows no shadow other than the legs of the stool. Please don't take that as a bad thing.
Excellent photo, so worthy of this challenge and really hope you get a high finish. This is a comment only due to not being a full member. If I was, you would have recieved a 10. |

Listening linesby pjotre7Comment: This is unique shot for a Guitar shot. You took the body of the guitar out and allowed your light to put my mind on the lines. Wonderful play on light and your perspective flows with it. |

Power Withinby WickedSoundComment: Lorie - thanks for the comment. Alas, I forgot to do a write-up before rollover.
This was my first attempt at zooming while the shutter was open. I forget what's called. But here's the run down.
Room was completely dark other than the light from the keyboard.
Shutter speed was 10-12sec.
Apt f/32.
Used my 300m telephoto/macro lens.
Lens was completely zoomed out and at 6sec (during the shutter timer)started turning the lens till it stopped. This brings the light out as thought it's a motion blur but not. The coolest part for me is all the keys are flat. But by doing the zoom, it gives the impression they're raised.
The shakyness worked here because of it being a PC. Was looking for more smooth light, but even on a tripod, my hand made it shake a lot. Need to figure out how the pros do it. =)
Thanks again for your comment! |

Rock Bottomby bvyComment: Keep going back and forth debating if the child adds to the photo or takes away from it. On one side the photo is strong enough of its own with the stones and the patterns within them. On the other, I wonder if the child gives the shot balance. Something for your eye to grab onto. if that makes sence. The lighting is great and love how it just continues off into the distance. Nicely done! |
