An excellent photo! Very arresting, esp. when opened up to full size. The composition as well as the contrast between the two people is ideal. And the fact that the face of the mother is completely covered by the little girl's, with no detail showing at all, really really adds to the picture. Great job!

An arresting and very creative image. Striking contrast between the soft typical little girl and the spiky non-traditonal mom. Lovely soft lighting and subtle skin tones. Nice colour palette throughout. Effective DoF choice. There are at least a couple of comments on Beauty in this image too, and with her glare, the little girl seems to be challenging us to be open to seeing them.. Very well done. 10.

I love this one! The clarity is stunning, composition is brilliant, and there is some really lovely bokeh going on too. And somehow the "new" element of the mother and the "old fashioned" element of her beautiful child really combine to make this not only gorgeous but interesting and unique. Excellent work!

Great shot. I would surely have wanted to show this in black and white: the image would be more about the expressions and textures, and I think the colour tones, whilst perfectly well caught for sure, to me seem to have nothing to do with the power of the shot. Also, people's reaction to black and white is more likely to give an image a quality of seriousness that this image surely deserves. Wonderful work.

Nice tender moment you've captured. Skin tones are excellent, but this image has an almost comical side to it. That is, the contrasts between girl's soft hair and the spikes of the mohawk. I especially like the way the heads line up. I think you could have cropped out a great deal on the left side and bottom.
