I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Kind of a brave rendition of a Ladybug - lose the colour, make it look a little ugly, show another side.

Critical stuff: I'm not a fan of your conversion - I can see some residual blue lines; I'm not sure why are there but I am sure that (IMHO) they don't work.

Overall: I like your vision but I think the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

Very beautifully captured and rendered. I love the orange and brown hues. The light, color and background makes it look like it is a crop taken from an old masters painting. This should finish in the top twenty imo. 8
