Could have been worse you could have been photographing only half a bee like the bee named Eric in the famous Monty Python tune.

"Half a bee, philosophically, must ipso facto half not be. But half the bee has got to be, vis-à-vis its entity - d'you see? But can a bee be said to be or not to be an entire bee when half the bee is not a bee, due to some ancient injury?".

Hey just thought you could have then done exactly the same picture but with the white circles red and the single square white and called it PI or sumfin and entered into the circle ;-)

I've just set my windows background to this too btw

Well, looks like you so did not bomb on this shot, well done.

Your DOF is great, your sharpness is sharp, you have good clean lines, good choice in the background. Not many would have gone with the black on black, but this really worked out well for you here.

There is not a lot to critique here as you pretty much nailed it to the board! I would love to see what you could do with this in Advanced Editing!
