nice use of slow shutter to give the smooth water - but the title does not seem to match the wave motion which comes across as timid

Congratulations! Excellent choice of perspective. Good dof too. We used to have an ostrich farm down the road, and they are not easy to capture well. Your prominent leader in the foreground and the willy-nilly necks really make the shot.

its a brilliant image for the challenge .. :)

what's the backstory ..
how on earth were you in exactly the right place at the right time ..

also those feathers are most unusual .. they looked almost unnatural ..
so i googled it ..

Ostriches have unique feathers that are loose, soft, and smooth, giving them a "shaggy" look.

not voting atm.. :)

I had to lie on my stomach in the dirt and take the shot through the bottom of the farm fence with the camera at ground level.

AHHA ..!!.. ;)
the things photographers do .. and thanks for clearing that up Fred .. ;)
and like Marion said there's a lot showing above the knee .. but in my reality you could show above the knee as long as you showed what was going on below it .. and make below the knee the focus of our attention .. which you totally nailed ..
i believe that hanging on to our preconceived ideas of what fits can stop us from seeing the whole picture .. so to speak ..

anyway .. congratulations on the blue .. totally worth lying in the dirt .. and getting this unforgettable photo .. :)
