Most people can't shoot fireworks (or have the opportunity to).. so *anything* that stands out above the usual will garner higher than usual scores methinks...

Although you were tongue-in-cheek.. I do think that this is a sub-par photograph for the most part.

A little oversharpened and the tighter crop would have been better, but this shot still stood out with the water relection that you had working and the boat silhouette. I gave this a 7 and was easily in my top 20 picks for the challenge. Good job and no hard feelings mate.
