The non-traditional angle is interesting and does add something to it. It seems a little darkly lit so I'm wondering if this was using a high ISO hence some of the noise on the skin tones. With black and white images there really needs to be a little more contrast or else have much more dramatic lighting.

This is a wonderful idea for the challenge and the best kind of surprise. The lighting on this shot seems a bit harsh, a little toning down would really make this shot work. The wall paper is very distracting, a different setting possibly? A 6

Quite an intriguing image, and with the title to give guidance, tells a simple story in itself. I am sure many of us understand how certain smells can remind us of certain people, and have used that to feel closer to loved ones when separated from them.
