Hollowby TooCoolComment by photobow: First thing is maybe you can find unusual macro studies here. Maybe using a matte black card behind it will help in seeing other angles or possibilities |

Tired of Dead Ends?by TooCoolComment by admart01: This one works well. The monochrome sends the "dead end" message along with the text. I think I would have liked this in Portrait vs. landscape. 9 |

Zero Horsepowerby TooCoolComment by TooCool: Thanks for the kind comments during AND after the challenge! I'm glad that others liked this photo! However, when I was making this one, whether or not others would like it was low on my priority list. This shot I did for MYSELF! My placing in the contest was and is not an issue in my mind! Tired of Dead Ends?by TooCoolComment by RonB: Excellent choice of monotone to emphasise the message. Cropping is just right. I think that I'd try the text in a smaller font to direct the eye to the image, then let it naturally move to the message below. |

A Study in Black and Whiteby TooCoolComment by cbeller: TC - Great job. I think I like this even better than your colored take for the water challenge, but for some reason I just prefer B&W. I wouldn't mind seeing the levels/contrast bumped up just a bit to see what it does either. |
