This is an interesting shot. I like the tonal range, nicely distributed from white to black, and the shapes you've chosen to show. The focus is a little off, or else the compression for the web did the details in a little. Also, the shallow DOF throwing the near cap out of focus is a little distracting. Bottom line, I wouldn't want to see an exhibition of fire-plug shots, but this one re-shot (with a tripod?) could be a nice addition to your porfolio.

TC - I like the composition of this shot, and the drama in the sky. It could be better in the foreground, in my opinion, if you were to brighten the barn a little and the snow a little more. Then maybe add some warmth to these foreground elements, bringing the color in harmony with the red under the clouds.

I'm not really sure why you chose to shoot rotate it this way, but I find that it is very distracting to the overall impact of the photo. Definately 7 of the subject. Actually, 7 of 2 different subjects. Which is ok too. Focus seems ok, and all, but I think that the way you make it look like the candles are on the 'wall' is distracting. I think it adds nothing to the photo. ~Heather~

The orientation of the candles makes this shot look really funky. It looks like the shot was taken with the paper pattern on the bottom, and inverted.
