thank you very much for all your comments. this was first attempt in submitting a picture. All your comments made me more determined to take a much better shot. Once again thanks for taking time and giving all the reviews. Well for one thing i couldnt focus on the moon. it was on maximum zoom level. anyways will try ot do better next time.

Sorry, I did not see how this met the challenge and yes, I would agree that the moon is desolate unto itself, however, with the green palm in the forground, all I see is hope. Nice picture by the way; I would have like to have seen alittle bit more depth of field (the moon in focus a little more)

Although I understand what you are going for in this photo, it doesn't give me the feeling of desolution. It is a nice photo though with sharp colors and interesting shadows.
