One of teh very few (actually the first I've seen so far) images that depict "country life" artistically! Glorious colors, and that lighting!! Oh my. I adore contre jour, and it has lit up the horse's whiskers, tail, and breath, and the man's sleeve, to fabulous effect. There is a real relationship here, not only between the man and horse, but between them and their surroundings, and to the dawn of day. Such warmth and depth. Thank you for this gorgeous capture.

Very very nice. The back light creates a stunning silhouetted image. Love the steam from the horses mouth in the cold morning air. Lovely light...a really wonderful picture. One of my favorites for the Blue ribbon here. 10
