Adventure? This direction!by primabarbaraComment by kanaj: This is a personal favorite for me in the challenge. I love the way the use of space in this image invites the question, "What are they seeing that has them so interested?" The storytelling possibilities are awesome. My only reservation is with the distracting "busyness" of color. I can't help but wonder if this is a case where a B/W conversion would enhance the storytelling. But that may be a personal preference. |

Chromatic Dialogueby primabarbaraComment by Barroness: Apricots have a short season, so it is nice to see the preservation in a photo. That is a good plate for photographing nice glow you captured. |

where do we go for breakfast? by primabarbaraComment by LevT: Congratulations, Barbara! I didn't recognize your daughter but of course I immediately recognized the reference to the "Breakfast at Tiffany's". Great job recreating the vibe! Like I wrote to Jonathan, I envy you guys that you have easy access to your daughters as your models, mine is long gone from the house and lives across the continent. |

where do we go for breakfast? by primabarbaraComment by kanaj: It's funny -- I instantly registered the delightful Audrey Hepburn inspiration for this, but it took me a while to catch the Breakfast at Tiffany's reference. :-P
A beautiful portrait all around. Honestly, I don't see any issue with the nose, either. I love the personality radiating from the expression. It's clear your daughter has learned to trust your instincts behind the camera--and I have much to learn from that. :-)
Congrats on a well-deserved win! |
