An appealing landscape that contributes well to the open challenge

This has your hallmark written all over it Janine, another well executed landscape with that extra something that makes it so appealing which in this instance is probably the golden glow of the foliage and its reflection on the right shore of the lake. It̢۪s well composed with good DOF and clarity throughout although the whites are pushed to their limits it is appropriate for the scene, indeed there is a lovely range of tones throughout. I can see Georges point and concur but it is a minor issue that would benefit from removal. Thanks for another lovely entry Janine.

An interesting image that meets the challenge fully

Regardless of the opinion of one of your commenters this still remains a classic image for good reason. Technically it is up to your normal high standards though I do agree with Neat, the greens, reds and bright yellow are very dominant in a near mono cityscape. Your title reflects the current heightened tensions of the continuing terrorist threat that France in particular is enduring. A very worthy score and result for a very worthy image, well done Janine.
