My ideas for improvement: I honestly don't have a single thing I would change here. The centered composition works very well, and I love the tones you captured here.

Where I would have/did score this entry: Again, I think this one is better than at least 3 or 4 that finished ahead of you. This one would have been a 7 or 8 from me, but the simplicity of the subject may have been a reason it didn't resonate with the voters.

My thoughts on the image: I think you were robbed on this one. This is definitely my favorite entry in this challenge.

My ideas for improvement: I think it would have easily taken first if it have been a little brighter, but I don't think that could happen without adding lighting to the location itself. I think you captured the very best of what was there. I think any post-processing up or down would have blown out highlights and darkened the shadows too much.

Where I would have/did score this entry: I did not vote in this one, but this would have been an 8 or 9 from me after looking through the entries. Strong image, and I appreciate you sharing it with us.

My thoughts on the image: We may have to rename this the Janine Critique Club, lol. I don't think I have ever noticed a tie on a challenge before. As per normal, lovely capture! I like the depth of this one, and the way it draws me well into the picture. I like the centered composition, and the PP is strong on for it.

My ideas for improvement: Personally, I probably would have brought up the exposure just a touch, but there isn't much more that I would have done differently.

Where I would have/did score this entry: I did not vote in this challenge, but this one would have been a 6 or 7 for me. There were several strong entries. Even still, I feel like this one should have finished a few spots stronger. There were a couple of strong finishers in this one that are head scratchers to me. Either way, nice image and thanks for sharing!

My thoughts on the image:Hey! Me again, LOL. I like this picture a lot! The centered composition works very well for this one, and I really like the blue against the muted tones of everything else.

My ideas for improvement: Probably the only thing I would have done different is giving it more contrast in post-processing. That, however, is more personal preference than anything else. I like deep contrast, especially in captures like this one.

Where I would have/did score this entry:This was a pretty big challenge with some very good entries. The 'Best of' are always tough ones, but I think this one scored fairly appropriately when looking through all other entries. I did not vote in this one, but it would have been in the 6-7 range for me. When I vote, I give each image a number as I first look at them. Then, after I have scored them all, I re-score the top 10 or so in relation to each other. This one was just up against some really nice images. Nice work, as always! Thanks for sharing.

With this one, I am going back to my old, nearly ancient on the site these days, format for my CC comments. Let's see if I stick with it.

First of all, congrats on yet another ribbon. This one, as with most all of your work, is well-deserving of the recognition.

My thoughts on the image: This is a fantastic capture and superb post-processing. Great composition, great job meeting the spirit of the challenge, and you offered us a very cool photo subject.

My ideas for improvement: There is honestly nothing that I could offer to make this one better.

Where I would have/did score this entry: This one was one of my 3 favorites in this challenge. I was your lone 9 vote, and I matched that vote on two other images in this challenge. I also gave a 9 to the first-place ribbon entry, and the 9th place finisher. I am honestly surprised that this one didn't at least take second. That is the beauty of DPC, though. You just never know how the votes will fall.
