Leading Linesby Ja-9Comment by Sheryll: Beautiful!!! If yours is the one I think it is in tunnels and caves then I think this one would have been better. However if yours is the one I think it is I already gave you a ten but I do like this one better than the other. |

Strawsby Ja-9Comment by JulietNN: HI from the C Club!
You are definitely on the right track here with this shot.
Now first impressions, very static. Maybe twisting them would have helped with the POV and the DOF. Having a light shine underneath them, would have given you amazing results.
The black border is so so, I would try it without the border and see what happens
PP work, not a lot you could have done there. Your colours are clean, your lines are sharp, you are tack sharp on your focus.
But it also seems a bit grainy, bring that ISO down as low as you can and see if that helps somewhat.
I would love to see you re shoot this for a challenge, with underlighting and a twist in the straws, just to see the difference.

~ The Candle ~by Ja-9Comment by JulietNN: Hi from the CC Club,
Another gorgeous shot of the slots. You can never really go wrong with these shots.
You did really well with this shot, very crisp, very clean. I especially like the fact that you can hardly see any footsteps in the sand.
The only problem with the slots is that at some point you are going to encounter daylight. You have managed teh daylight fairly well here. there is no way around it being blown out.
It is a little over sharpened, I know that the walls are made from sand and do tend to look on photos as though they are sharpened a lot as there appears to he halos on the edges, but I think you could have stepped back a bit on this one.
In Post Processing , play with the hue and saturation and selective colours. Mainly because you will find that there are hidden colours in those walls. Mainly purples believe it or not.
Great photo and they look amazing blown up and hung up on the wall. Well done |
