This is really lovely, Janine!

Those trees and the road leading us in from everywhere are effective and gorgeous. The colors seem a bit off... the purple ground, but the greens are fabulous.

I gave it a 7 during voting. I do get just a bit disappointed when I get to where all of those leading lines led me and... there's just brightness. I find myself wanting an 'exclamation point' there instead of a 'period'. Perhaps two people holding hands silhouetted? Maybe not even a dark silhouette... just a suggestion of a person/people.

I dunno... but I probably would have given an 8 or 9 with a surprise at the end after such a gorgeous build-up.

Still, it's a fabulously lovely image, Janine. You should be proud of it.

An appealing image that meets the challenge

A nice natural scene of this lovely time of year, your composition is very appealing and I like that the road is a natural feature too and not asphalt it blends well with the scene as a whole. The trunks of silver birch are always a treat in any scene and this is no exception. The colours and the light are major elements that are working well in your image. I wasn't very keen on the lack of detail to begin with but its slowly growing on me, I like that in the main you still have some detail in the tree trunks. I love the black elements, the branches and features on the trunks I find them most appealing against the rest of it.

Well done Janine with your high placing, another successful entry.
