Smart move! Given that this is an Advanced rules challenge, I'd have blurred the guy in the white shirt to the left, or (mostly) cropped him out, leaving the subjects on the 1/3 line instead of centered.

It may be that you won't agree with me, but in my mind "candid" implies a photograph of a person at a candid (i.e. unaware of the camera) moment. So, to that way of thinking, this doesn't really meet the challenge. Very nice photo however. Lots of action. Nice lighting. Good contrast between dark sky and lights and fireworks.

A good action shot with great background. I would have cropped out the the figure in white shirt. However, the action and feel of the image is good.
