Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheepby marbroComment by HarveyG: Good advert for headache remedies! Seriously though this is quite amusing, and NG is not just all about compelling subjects like HIV and Global Warming. Often they have used a great image like this to tie in with a paragraph in the article, say about mating and territorial habits. Are there flaws? DPC flaws? Sure. I'd crop tighter above them. Being more to the left would have been perhaps, well, ideal. A bit more sharpness with a higher s/s on motive subjects, yes.
Having said all that, to catch them at the moment of impact where the sudden deceleration has lifted their derrières is commendable. Would it be published. I think so. |

Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheepby marbroComment by MaryO: What a wonderful moment to capture! Not the perfect angle, maybe, but I can't imagine you get too many chances at a scene like this. I'm really quite intrigued by this. |

Mountain Riverby marbroComment by ti_evom: Obvious use of a tripod, or any other long-term stabilization tool (1-10 *is not the score of the shot though*): 1
Nothing in this shot says tripod to me. The water is choppy and not smooth and the clouds appear stationary as well. If this was done on a tripod, it could have been done handheld as well. |
