The Path Away from Gloryby mirdonamyComment by Donald: One path equals one line split down the middle. I'm curious about the true color of the field vegetation. When I see black and white photos, I yearn for shadings from very light to darkest of darks to avoid hum drum grey wash. Individuals help punch some dark shade into the picture. After an Ansel Adams challenge I should try some black and white photos too. Of course he had more than a week unlike us dpchallengers. Good luck. |

The Path Away from Gloryby mirdonamyComment by Artifacts: Nicely done B&W. Interesting choice for this image with wildflowers. Bet you are one of those folks that went to Antelope Valley. This is a very nice capture. |

The Path Away from Gloryby mirdonamyComment by MrAkamai: This is a great shot with people-factor. Using the top edge of the flowers, you can use that as a leading line to the trail and then follow that upwards. Although I'm a big fan of b/w photos, I feel that this could have been great either way. However, since it is b/w, it needs a bit more contrast, not much, to add more punch and depth. The sky could have been cropped a bit closer to the tops of the mountains to place emphasis on the rest of the frame. 7.5 rounded up to an 8. |

Life in the Fast Laneby mirdonamyComment by Mark of SRQ: This is a great shot. The only problem I have with it though, is kind of a big one: The two bases of the railing behind the bigger you, in the forefront, align with your mouth, making the two bases look like some kind of fangs or something. That's what I see when I look at it. Otherwise I love it, the whole idea and everything. And I can see from the other you, that you are really a good looking, fangless person. |

Life in the Fast Laneby mirdonamyComment by snackwells: I like this, it's interesting how the light trails are occluded by your face yet the relatively darker wall in the background shows through. I'd like to hear how you edited this image. Very well done. 7 |
