One is the Lonliest Numberby K3MasterComment by klkitchens: I think it might have worked better showing the other side (the two) instead of the five. It would have made the 1 stand out more against the "couples". Nicely done though. Dice shots rock :) |

Triumvirateby K3MasterComment by CalliopeKel: Looks old fashioned, and full of personality. A real winner in my book. Love the little boys smile. Happiness runs amok. |

Triumvirateby K3MasterComment by J-Me: Originally posted by xakpeet: I like the pose of the subjects but not sure I like the processing...oversaturated maybe? The colors seem a little bit off. I think it is interesting that the kids are looking at what i assume is someone standing beside the camera and the fella on bottom is looking into the camera. |
I fail to see how anyone can say that the "colors seem off"??? According to what? What can that statement be based upon as a comparison??? |

Triumvirateby K3MasterComment by J-Me: Ok, maybe, I'm blind because I can't see the "blow outs" that others in here can see! What I see is a great portrait shot that is really pleasing to the eye and senses composition, content, colour, light and just about everything else. It's not the "technically perfect" that grabs attention in a photo! That seems to be what a lot of people in here don't seem to value! What I see here in this family portrait shot is a great time between father and children, happy, smiling faces that portray the sense of love and closeness that a family has with one another. That, to me, is the message that SHOULD be portrayed....not the "blow outs" or the "oversaturation" that I still can't see in this either!
Keep on shooting what pleases YOU and emotes something from others. THAT is far more valuable than technical perfection! Please don't change your view from behind the camera to please voters in here. Keep up your own style and eye through that viewfinder because you've got quite an eye!
Edited to add....don't forget...every monitor is different so, everyone viewing this will see it slightly differently. Message edited by author 2008-09-18 11:06:00. |

Charlotte's Nightmareby K3MasterComment by pappynz: I think I voted lower because I really have a phobia of spiders. A little more DOF/focus on the front legs might have helped my score. Great colour/composition. |

Charlotte's Nightmareby K3MasterComment by AP: i gave this a 10, i can't believe it didn't even beat MY image! so underrated, i think people were just scared by the spider b/c this is a great example of DoF usage, and the color scheme is great too |
