I think the flat lighting in this shot doesn't make the scene look it's best. I imagine the lighting has nothing to do with you, but as a subject choice you have to take the available light into consideration and this one has just come out looking somewhat like a snapshot.

I didn't leave a comment on this image at first because I was torn on where I thought it stood. I guess that's why I gave it a 5. After revisiting I will leave it as a five but have noticed that I really think there is too much dead space in this image. I think moving the beer closer to the left and cropping a little tighter on the right may have increased my appeal and my score of this image.
