I was photographing my bike in the wet sand, and this wave came up quick. I had a choice to run and save the bike, or photograph it. The bike got soaked.

Too much red. Maybe it really was that red, but I doubt it. The water - maybe. Water reflects colors fairly well. The rocks and the sand - no way. Makes the whole photo look fake.

I really wanted to try a shallow dof landscape myself, but never could find an appropriate subject. Yours works better than any of mine did, but it still leaves me wanting to see that mountain! Perhaps if the rocks were a little brighter (but then the sky would be blown)...or if there was 1 main thing to focus on like a leaf or flower....+ 2 for your attemp 7 total. Good luck.

nice idea, more light could bring out some more contrast, the stones' patterns and would whiten the snow.
