Old Cue Ballby picksterComment by StormyWeathers: I am curious on this if your light source was closer it would have broght more definition to your specular highlight on the cue ball and imho would ave givin more attention to the cue ball. Also if the white balance on this was a little better the cue ball could have been whiter. Notice how some of the balls in the back ground have shadows going from left to right?? I think it would be cool if all the shadows from the balls could "point" to the back of the cue ball and/or make some sore of interesting pattern that draws additional attention to the cue ball. |

Old Cue Ballby picksterComment by ordinaryangel: The perspective here is good. I think a bit of a contast boost would really help, also perhaps a border would give this a more definined look. |

Old Cue Ballby picksterComment by Yo_Spiff: This is almost, but not quite grabbing me. Not totally sure why. Maybe the lighting, maybe the colors. |

Old Cue Ballby picksterComment by rinac: Great dof, just lifeless. Maybe some contrast boost to emphasise the long shadows and give it some colour? |

Old Cue Ballby picksterComment by mbrutus2009: I'm not sure if I like the colors in the photo. (color of table, the wall, etc.) I like the concept though! (5) |

Old Cue Ballby picksterComment by JMart: Good interpretation of the challenge. I like the detail in the cue ball's wear marks and the isolation you've created, however, a different POV and possibly more variety in placement of the background balls might have made the overall composition more interesting imho. |

Ducks for a Causeby picksterComment by Yo_Spiff: Nice effort and good idea, unfortunately, the detail is taken away by a lot of high ISO noise. With something like this, which does not move, you can use a low ISO and as long a shutter speed as needed to get around that. |
