Comment by Teafran:
The sense of "moment" is present in this image and the obvious character being captured carries some visual impact. Technically, it's a very well composed image which is a plus. From an artistic standpoint, it lacks impact. A worthy entry into the challenge just lacking that something special to make it stand out.

Nice idea, but the lighting is too flat and dark to have real impact.

Very clever and very well executed, hope that you'll post your process for doing this so I can read up after the challenge! :)

Heh - wonderful and very similar to a scene in "Monsters, Inc." - always a terrifying prospect in the dark at the magic hour of 3 AM.

Comment by tpbremer:
this shot is right there as far as the idea goes, but the execution leaves a bit to be desired. I don't know if the eyes are too bright, or that its because they are out of focus, but I find them distracting--which is a problem since they are the point! Its a trick lighting situation because I'd like more light on the feet, but obviously you don't want light going under the bed... hmmm...

Such a delicate little thing! I don't know what you use to process, but you could try masking off your foreground subject then toning down the background a bit.
