I didn't know what kind of dove he is so I googled zebra doves and that's exactly what he is. There are millions (okay, not millions but thousands) of these in Hawaii. They're known for not being very smart so they often get hit by passing cars. I worry about Stubby Foot all the time...hehe.

Here's a shot of Stubby from about 3 years ago. You can see his foot better in this one. I'm standing about 3 feet away from him.

An interesting species of Dove (new to me). I think it's pretty cool that you at least have a way to identify this specific bird when you see it.
