Mmmm....Popcornby CraigDComment by ellamay: Greetings from the CC, well certainly an on topic subject. My immediate thought is that if you had cropped along the right side of the microwave you would of created a very interesting perspective looking into the microwave, focusing the viewer on subject a little more. I think I would of also cropped a little off the bottom to add to this subject enhancement. I think the light inside the micro really helped keep your shot from being underexposed inside the microwave. Your choice of having the popcorn spill out is very nice as well. Perhaps a little steam may have added something to the feel of scent. I likfe the sharpness of your shot also. Keep up the good efforts. |

Mmmm....Popcornby CraigDComment by Dave Gordon: As this image gardually appeared on the screen, I really liked the tight shot of popcorn. Then the long expanse of table appeared, and the popcorn really seemed dimineshed. I would have liked a very tight corp on the edges of the microwave and the front kernel of popcorn, without the empty sides or foreground. |

Mmmm....Popcornby CraigDComment by cbeller: I think this would have looked better had you filled the frame more and came at it from a different angle, so it wasn't so centered. |

Mmmm....Popcornby CraigDComment by sonnyh: Great picture and I can smell the popcorn already. In my case I can smell the burnt popcorn. I like this photo a lot. Good composition and good thought as to how to portray your thoughts. I was just wondering if there was some way you could have triggered the microwave to think the door was closed and turn the light off. It is a little disturbing to what otherwise is a great photo. 9 |

Beware of "The Phog"by CraigDComment by OneSweetSin: First of all you took this photo from under the statue and caused a distortion of the man. To me what stood out was his the rather large crotch! I know it isn't always possible to take a photo from directly in front and you have to take it at an angle but you can always move back and zoom in on the subject. In this case the photo of this statue is so simply to distorted cause you took it from an angle to close and left him with a large crotch and a peasized head.
Another distration that hurts this photo is the tree in the background is in too good of focus it would have worked better using a limited depth of field leaving the tree out of focus.
I do have to say though your focus on the statue was excellent. The detail is really good. Two things really hurt you here were first was the distortion of the man and the second thing was no one understood the photo. Possibly a different title would have worked better.

Mmmm....Popcornby CraigDComment by Kavey: Microwave seems a touch tilted but other than that, the composition is great - I like the space left around the top edge and the wide expanse of work surface, exaggerated by the low viewpoint. |

Mmmm....Popcornby CraigDComment by ogdenm: The problem with not reading the manufacturers instructions seems to persist with all appliances or electronic devices. |
