Chinese Zodiac "Sheep"by tolovemoonComment by Dibutil: From Critique Club.
On my screen it looks 3D - the toy is stepping out of the frame. Partially this is the benefit of the frame, partially thanks to the contrast of blending dark parts of the animal with the background and the light fur.
I just have a doubt: if this is a challenge, why would one shoot the subject of it if he/she hopes to win the competition? Unless of course it is something exclusive or very symbolic. The toy is just a toy... |

Not Myself todayby tolovemoonComment by TooCool: If this is YOUR shadow... I can't tell if the shadow is out of focus or the shot is. Background gradiations are distracting.

Tool!by tolovemoonComment by justine: I think this is a bit lacking in excitment or pazazz. The light is hot on the first 0 and dark on the L. It needs something to make it alive or to make people want to view it more then once. Keep trying, keep shooting. |

Tool!by tolovemoonComment by GoodEnd: Interesting composition. I like this. The photography can be improved with a near shoot. May be an 45 degree angle help to eliminate the fhasl reflections and overexposed areas. To distribute light equally, a white paper sheet in front of you in a straight angle can be used as reflector and difuser. But I like so much of your idea. |
