Brass Instrumentby tolovemoonComment by Manikz: The reflection of the flash is very distracting, and makes this photo hard to read. The DoF aspect was done relatively well though. Try an indirect flash, or some different lighting. |

Brass Instrumentby tolovemoonComment by admart01: I like the two-tone of the instrument but find the brass edge in the foreground stops my eye from moving in (perhaps it's the white hot spot?) |

"Salt and Pepper" Shakers!by tolovemoonComment by Neuferland: I almost did this shot too! I tried a couple of different ways but couldn't get it to work for me. This is not a bad shot but the salt and pepper getting cut off on the bottom hurts the shot and all the stray seasoning is very distracting. Also the light is a bit harsh it would seem. A 5 |

"Salt and Pepper" Shakers!by tolovemoonComment by jdw91479: I like how the salt and pepper on the top are spread out, making it look more like a night scene. I don't like the two groups of salt and pepper at the bottom, but I'm guessing they represent mountains. Nice photo. |

Tool!by tolovemoonComment by Rgarcia: Interesting idea, the use of the flash as the only light source leaves parts of the composition out of context. Another light source might help with this issue. |

A flashy colored lighter reflection!by tolovemoonComment by Dibutil: Still, how about painting with light? The shot is made with the flashlight and the sun on the lighter body does not give the impression of light. I'd definitely like to see more details off the top of the lighter this part is lost.
The idea of mirror in the dark is quite interesting although requires a lot of effort to properly position lights and eliminate unwanted reflections. I think you need to evolve this idea, play with additional light sources and reflectors for the flash beam. |
