Duomo figuresby StarbananaComment by glad2badad: This would make a fun "Name the missing statue" contest photo. :-D I get what you were going for, and intentional or not, the missing piece and the way the foreground architecture comes across, creates some tension and variety. |

Brass 3d map of Milanoby StarbananaComment by glad2badad: That map looks interesting. The water adds something with the droplets, almost like some texturing in a way, however, you also pick up some glare if not polarized. If it wasn't for the blown out highlights in the lower-left this could be a strong image. As it is, I like how the "road" leads you in and then takes the viewer to the high peak. Did you notice how the three high points on the map match up to the OOF background?
Ok. That was WAY too much rambling about what was probably intended to be a snapshot of sorts. :-) |

Tifosiby StarbananaComment by glad2badad: Why red? I'm not a race fan, so don't know much about it...
Were you sitting next to the guy with the funky hat that's looking in your direction? :-)
Looks like everyone is having a good time. |

View towards Duomoby StarbananaComment by tnun: This definitely has something extra with all those many many various verticals squeezing you in towards the duomo. |

Watching the world go byby StarbananaComment by Starbanana: Originally posted by The_Tourist: From my experience with P&S's, I think using the P&S flash would have resulted in the first 20 feet or so being illuminated and beyond that just pitch black, so this was the way to go. Happy to share.
Yes the P&S flash does that, I do have one where I forgot what it would do & the umbrella above & 2 people very close are illuminated and the rest is black. |

Brass 3d map of Milanoby StarbananaComment by Leo: Interesting pic. Pretty cool how you caught the pic with foreground blur and background blur, whether intentional or not, I like the result. |

View towards Duomoby StarbananaComment by Leo: Like this for showing the different flavors of architecture. Plus showing people going about their business. |

Duomo figuresby StarbananaComment by Yo_Spiff: I like the framing, but I can see why you were not 100% happy with it. Sometimes the perfect perspective is not accessible. |
