Niederwald Denkamlby A WeaverComment by kiwiness: I've seen this statue before, down Koblenz way on the Rhine right? Good one! Can it be that the statue is tilting a little to the right? Or is it just my eyes this early in the morning? Oh and by the way, you spellt the word "Denkmal" wrong :-) Message edited by author 2003-09-01 06:26:54. |

Niederwald Denkamlby A WeaverComment by jab119: I like the composition an the subject. I feel it would look better is the sky was a darker blue, the image looks a little over exposed. |

Enemy In Sightby A WeaverComment by mzanoni: negative space? can't see how this fits the assignment, but this is an awesome "documentary" image of what is going on in the world. |

Enemy In Sightby A WeaverComment by smellyfish1002: Composition is great... Sky is a little light, but that is necessary to get the soldier at proper exposure. This image is why fill flash was invented. This would be a 10 if there were some light on his face. As it is, my eye drifts to the end of the weapon, when it should be on the guys face. Fill flash would have brightened up his face and made it the ceter point of the image. |

Enemy In Sightby A WeaverComment by dsidwell: The face here is very dark, which is an interesting choice as it makes this subject appear like an Everyman type of figure. However, the detail that IS there is very interesting, and I find myself craving more. Perhaps either darker or lighter would work? It might be fun to experiment. Very nice composition here; the neg space invites my thoughts to extend to the world around this subject. |
