Hi helen, my recommendation (i'm not a photoshop expert) add a new layer, go to hue and saturation and desaturate, add a mask and hide it for the flower. This is the result I got [thumb]710826[/thumb], I work the saturation for the flower in a different layer. I does make a small difference

Interesting color on the flower, although the wall looks kinda yellow. I'm always amused by how spent hollyhock blossoms look like used tissues.
