I think this might have looked better in color, especially with a pretty red apple against the green trees in the background. The lighting looks like it came from an on-camera flash, but natural lighting might have been a bit more appealing.

Good idea but I don't care for the composition, the depth of field or the lighting. Would have been really impressive if you could have gotten the arrow in flight just before impact. Obviously it has to be, but you don't want it to look staged and this just looks staged. I give you credit for trying though and like I said... Good idea!
