cute kids, but looks like a backyard shot. Take that pose and move them indoors and give them some decent lighting and it would work for the challenge.

The part sun, part shade I think created some exposure problems, just too contrasty to get a good capture, perhaps fill flash would have helped, or moving your subjects completely out of the sun

Nice Idea, I presume that lipstick is Ruby Red. The lighting is a little too much in the top right, and could have had a little more on the book on the left. Slight change of light angle (or set-up angle) just to balance that slightly.

This was actually one of the first things I thought of when I saw the subject for this challenge, and I'm glad someone did it! :) The foreward-most part of the arrow is a bit too blurry for me; I probably would've gone with closer cropping. I like the black and white, but I also think the color version would be neat to see as well. :) Overall, its a decent photo and a great take on this challenge.
