Too Close for Comfortby tvsometimeComment by Teafran: The end of life is always a mystery and the potential of there being nothing at the end is frightening in and of itself. A very provocative image. |

Late Afternoon Lightby tvsometimeComment by Teafran: More a image of lighting than a creative use of lighting. It's hard to rate this because of it's nature. It might have been a better approach to find a subject and then use the lighting to create the image rather than of the light itself. |

Pilingsby tvsometimeComment by Sheryll: I love how you have the one piling so close in the foreground and right on dof to still leave enough detail in the water and the background which all add to the texture but leave me focused on the piling in the front. Great job. |

Pilingsby tvsometimeComment by drewhosick: The shot just doesn't do anything for me. THe background seems more distracting than anything else and the subject doesn't seem intriging. It's a little soft as well. |

Pilingsby tvsometimeComment by Teafran: A technical success from the slightly out of focus background which compliments the crips and detailed foreground and subject. A little shy on having any significant artistic impact. Excellant control of the white areas which give the appearance of bleaching, but not losing any details. A solid entry into the challenge. |

Pilingsby tvsometimeComment by Steef: i like the subject and the pilings in the background. i think it might be a bit more powerful if you had stepped back a little bit or maybe shot from a different angle so the background worked even more in your favor |
