Rhapsody in Blueby tvsometimeComment by Teafran: There was an artist named Gustav Klimt who was an Austrian symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession Movement during the late 19th, early 20th Centuries. Klimt loved to create ambiguous imagery with simple tones and colors which in a way reflected the movement's avoidance of the conservative historicism of Germany and Austrian painters. This is very similar to that concept in that the contrasts between the blue and white and the variability of the color fit the Movement major players style. And I like this a lot because I'm an abstract photographer at heart and love the genre like no other I have done. I really, really like this and wish I could give it a 20 or 30, but I'll have to settle for a 10. Well done. |

5 - Tethered to his Workby tvsometimeComment by ursula: A very common view these days, not only in New York, but also in very small town like the one I live in. You managed to freeze the motion perfectly. I like the contrast between the rather dark person (clothing/hair) and the lighter sidewalk and walls. The face and hand are the brightest areas, as it should be. Nice. |

5 - Tethered to his Workby tvsometimeComment by HarveyG: With the passage of time and the increase in Mega Pixels, technology, photoshopping clones and suchlike, this is an image that will endure and speaks about our mad world. |
