Is that what a Pomegranate looks like inside? Fits the challenge. Don't like that its cropped at the bottom, would have liked to have seen some space there. Looks nice and crisp.

I love Pomegranates! Tell me this didn't go to waste after you got done shooting! LOL! The concept is wonderful, the colors are vibrants and rich, the black background really sets off the reds. The cropping leaves me a bit off though, if you could have included the entire bottom half and it also seems just a tad sharp in some areas but the DOF is off on the upper left of the top curve. I'm starting this one at an 8 but will be back to drool............er, study some more ;)

Nice colourful fruit shot - have not seen a Pomegranite for many years, I like the black background but IMO it needs a bit of a tighter crop and possibly a little more sharpening.

Shame there's so much negative space, I'd have prefered a tighter crop. The ratio of negative space to subject seems very arbitrary and not pleasing to the eye. Otherwise, quite a striking shot. Effective combination of white, black and red. 7

Good Points: Intersting fruit to choose, colourful and well chosen bg.
Bad Points:composition is awful and the only let down of this shot. why crop teh bottom?

I really like the vividness of the photo, though I do wish the entire pomegranate was in the shot. Definitely fits the challenge, has nice lighting, a little soft on the focus where the skin is covering some of the seeds, but its still a very nice photo. 8
