Sprawlby spiritualspatulaComment by MaryO: I was thinking how lazy he looked and then I scrolled down and saw your title ;-) I guess you can afford to act like you own the garden when you have spikes and fangs! |

ivanaby spiritualspatulaComment by ivki: Derek thank you very much for making the b&w version from the photo. I really like it. I've decided to go with the color version, because i was surprised to get that kind of green tones from that particular lake:) I like the feeling I'm getting from the b&w version. I might try to do one myself, just so I can have some practice in the processing. I̢۪ll post the result so I can get your comments again, they are really helpful. Thanks! |

Desert Vistaby spiritualspatulaComment by colorcarnival: I wish the perspective included more of the sky. It's gorgeous. I think all the textures of the rock compete with it. Is that a road down there on the right? That acts as a nice reference for how high you were when taking this shot. |

Lurkingby spiritualspatulaComment by HarveyG: Having pulled out the warmth in this image (hear comes the egg on my face) means you have PP'd the image. NG don't allow it. Only dodge and burn, multi shot HDR and cropping. Again, you could have gone to the Amazon, had a thick canopy and no warm light at all coming through, tough call. Great DOF, well focused and creepy sinister feel. These damn things evoke all sorts of emotion, none of them love and adoration. So the shot, by nature of the subject, tells a story. An absolute must I believe for NG. Published? A fair chance if the bottom OOF area were cropped a bit higher. |
