Faceless Paper Pusherby spiritualspatulaComment by Covert_Oddity: This is a very funny shot and like the others I love the detail of the badge. Something that strikes me though that no one else seems to have mentioned is that the character seems to be happy, I can't place why but when I look at the big white square head I see a happy expression!
After having looked at this for a bit I am now picturing my office with everyone looking like this, staring at their screens or walking about the place. Imagine being the one that has to give a speech to them all (my imagination running away again). |

Spectrumby spiritualspatulaComment by Covert_Oddity: This is a great study in contrast, and for me very well suited to the challenge. It's one of those shots that's probably a bit too clever for the voters and I think you may have suffered from some people not seeing it as a "traditional triptych".
I don't agree with the others on the "centre you" being overexposed, what I do think though is that because of the high exposure that the out of focus arms take away slightly from the shot.
The concept itself is very good, I like the idea of a spectrum of emotions. The positioning of them reminds me of the angel / devil on my shoulders thing and makes the image suggest that the high and low emotions are somewhat like those, each tempting you towards them in their own way. |

Play by spiritualspatulaComment by David Ey: I dont know where I was, but I missed seeing this great photo. I bet Hogan finds the lost balls when the snow melts. You had a hard time selecting from the outtakes I bet. |

DSC_4133.jpgby spiritualspatulaComment by mpeters: Exposure looks perfect. About how far was your flash from your subject(you)? It looks like the upper SB900 is pulling most of the weight...and the lower one is giving a little fill under your chin and the neck part of your jacket. |

DSC_4138.jpgby spiritualspatulaComment by pineapple: Nicest of the series, IMO. Backlit rim works well. Posture is nice too. Only nit pick is that the wrist is a bit bright and you could burn that in post processing. A grid on the SB900 would make a nicely feathered light centering on the face. The Honl grids work quite well for such situations. Message edited by author 2010-02-12 12:05:42. |
