Comment by Louis:
Probably the best composed in your portfolio. Notice how the main element is off-centre, creating interest overall. The circular lily is framed well, the way it goes in and out of frame in a pleasing way. Overall the photo needs post-processing. It's difficult to get away with this kind of subject matter without any kind of processing, since there is little for the viewer to connect with. Had it been expertly framed and were it compositionally perfect, you might have something truly engaging. Keep it up.

This image has the sme issues as the other with similar subject, so capturing the plant off-centre might have been best, or framing it differently somehow. The line of horizon in back detracts somewhat, probably due to the way it's framed. It may have been better if the land portion of the photo was a thinner strip below the head of teh plant. Also, a portrait orientation may have helped to frame it in a more interesting way.

Often what you see when you're outdoors framing your photograph is not what you get when you click the shutter. Is that going on here? Compositionally, the image seems well-balanced, but may have benefitted from a square crop, or a crop to reduce the amount of sky at the top of the frame. Getting the sun in-frame is tough, as you may have noticed from the recent challenge entries. Here, it's completely blown out, which under some circumstances is a fine effect.
