Here is an example of a great sunset/sunrise shot without overprocessing it. The clouds are in perfect exposure and so is the land. Excellent!

The colors are a bit much here I think. The composition and play on scale is really nice and I don't think you needed to make the colors so unnaturally bright. The technicolored sunset is tired.

I really like the clouds in the image! It's interesting to see how they are adding depth in the image. The only thing which I will like to correct is the slight over sharpness of background & water.
