I'm Waitingby freeride21aComment by KarenB: great detail. I'd like him to be a bit off center though, because the black is such good negative space. |

They are NOT Slimeyby freeride21aComment by inspzil: If you could have literally filled the frame you'd have taken out your problem areas...the open background areas. Those seem to be just a little hot. nice colors in the snake. |

I'm Waitingby freeride21aComment by zeuszen: This is, really, a wonderful photo, revealing only what is essential, and that beautifully, but...
I wish the spider appeared much bigger (!) and bolder. It's also a lil too centered within the frame, to my taste. |

They are NOT Slimeyby freeride21aComment by kirbic: I very much ike the concept; there are a few things you could do to improve the execution. A difuse light source woiuld work better with the reflective skin of the snake, and a bit darker background would possibly work better; it is overexposed here. Did you use an incandescant light? The color balance looks quite reddish. You can correct this in software, or your camera may be able to compensate. If you have the camera's white balance set to manual, it may have been fooled, this is not uncommon. |
