Not a bad idea and the execution is not entirely poor, there is something about the blurriness of the pixels (maybe from a weird filter you used) that make the image seem extremely poor in quality. I would have also enjoyed this photo more if you worked the clouds sort of into the face of the skull making the sky itself a skull rather than just an opaque overlay thought thats a ton more work, not bad.

I really like it when the clouds take up most of the image. I have a huge 5 ft image on canvas in my entry hall that is a huge anvil cloud with minimal land at the bottom. Your image reminded me of it.
