Campari by LelezComment by CNovack: Ah, yes, if one has never drank campari before one gets quite a shock on how bitter it is - We could never find a good mix of campari to other liquids (juices or club soda). I like the nice reds of the drink that contrast quite nicely off of the greens. But I think that the main focus is surrounded by too much negative space that does nothing to complement the Campari. A closer crop to the drink would make it more visually appealing by bringing us closer to your subject AND elliminating too MUCH of other distracting elements. |

Red Alpinea - backlightby LelezComment by CNovack: Love the backlighting that is illuminating the flower and showing off it's beautiful shades of pink. The strength of this composition is the flower color, the textures and layers of the petals illuminated by the backlighting. That is what you need to play up. As it is now there is too much 'negative' space that detracts and distracts the eye's attention away from the strengths. Zoom in, get a nice tight detailed focus on the layers of the stacked petals to showcase an abstract study of shapes, textures, and the way the light plays on the petals of the flower. |

Flamboyant flowerby LelezComment by MelonMusketeer: These trees are beautiful. They also grow here in S Florida near the waterfront in a few places. I like this shot for the colors and shapes of the leaf stalks. |
