This seems like it wants to have a darker moody feel, but it doesn't really happen. A little more on the black scale would have helped I think. That said, I have not read this book so may be missing something. 4

4...this is just too crunchy. It lacks the atmosphere I would expect from something inspired by Wuthering Heights. It's a not terribly well composed image of a stone building in bright dappled sunlight and is that a cyclone fence over on the left? Doesn't really conjured the Yorkshire moors for me.

So much sharpening that the image trembles.
I know that it does not matter for a photo inspired by a classic novel, but showing a house implies some kind of faithfulness to the book. And I remember vaguely as having elaborate gothic designs around the front door.
I do not want a literal image, but I think that you aimed for one.
I wish I can mark this with a 5 but the processing is way too disturbing

Comment by Bear_Music:
This is not working for me at all, sorry. The composition is awkward, the processing is lackluster, and the fit for the book is marginal at best: there's no sense of height, for one thing (think "house on a hill") and there no sense of "wuthering", which is the oppressive sound the wind makes as it scours the lonely, bleak and barren moors. None of that comes through.

4 from me.

even though I haven't read the book, I do feel as though you're evoking its mood through this odd processing. very interesting light and texture. 6

Nice 'n clean. Look at those scores. Not a one, a two, or a three in the bunch.

Kind of makes you hungry just looking at it. I hope you have a good meat sauce to go with it.
