Frostby SchmeldontinoComment by MaryO: Looks like sugar LOL! I may have that on the brain. Nice sparkles and lighting; not quite sure about the crop partway into the other eye. |

Frostby SchmeldontinoComment by egamble: This doesn't appear to be a really good focus. I might also just be really tired...5 for now..but I WILL revisit this in the morning. Nice concept. Would have been neat with a blue light cast over the face. |

Between Rides b&w.jpgby SchmeldontinoComment by PHOTOKID: This shot is a decent candid, you positioned your model nicely using the rule of thirds. His pose and the act of him smoking really adds to the candidness of the photo. There is some nice contrasting between him and the background as well.
However, I do think in my opinion, there are a few things that you can try to enhance the photo further. Firstly, your blacks are to dark. If you look at his hat it almost disappears into the shadows, also the pin stripes on his suite are not as evident as the could be if you gave a bit of a contrast boost.
The other thing that I would suggest is not to have the horses snoot in the frame, or add enough so that the horses are easily identifiable. The white on the horses snoot competes for attention due to the brightness it. The horses are out of focus which is good, but there isnt enough in the frame for the eye to quickly identify it as a horse and will slow the viewer from proceeding inward past until figureing out what they are. |

Not Even Mr. Cave Cricket Can Resistby SchmeldontinoComment by EBJones: Green yellow and orange reminds me of my parent's kitchen back in the 70's. :)
Why a cricket? I don't think 'sugar' when I see this image, rather I focus on the cricket. Compositionally, I think cropping the right hand side and bottom in tighter to provide more of a rule of thirds could have improved it. |

Freedom Fighterby SchmeldontinoComment by citymars: I'd maybe pull the camera back a bit to show a bit more of the gloves so they are identifiable. One odd thing is that the eye on the right seems very red -- maybe a result of reflection plus increased color saturation? However, I like the concept and would like to see more. |

Freedom Fighterby SchmeldontinoComment by Ken: I really like how your subject is lit and the expression you captured. I bet this would also look great in B&W. |
