Personally I prefer this to the cropped version.

I like the crop a LOT. The light looks otherworldly :)

Nice B&W conversion...much better than the color version IMHO. The textures are fantastic.

Ah, ya gotta look at the original to figure this out. Very nice. I find the 'line of light' a bit distracting for me in the final version.

HOW BEAUTIFUL! I love the bright white lines in the leaves that appeared with the conversion! Nice crop too.

I try, I really do, but the color shot wins.

I like the choice going b/w. Not only does it put the emphasis on the textures which I find more interesting than the color but it also lowers the focal point from mid-left to mid-bottom (at least for me). In the color version my eyes go straight to the bright part of the leaves (i.e. mid-left) which then leads me upward to the building in the background and out of the photo where as in the b/w I start out much lower due to the darker shadows at the mid-bottom and then read the rest of the image from the very bottom to the top.

This will make a cool keepsake kind of photo. I echo the whites in the eyes comment. Your wife looks so young and it's a beautiful photo of her.
