100_2301by KevinRiggsComment by Plexxoid: Still an interesting capture, but IMHO this shot failed. The pinkish light detracts from the picture, the dark garment and black background are too similar, and I believe you are taking the picture too low. Feels like you're laying on the floor in the back of your studio zoomed in on her face (yes, I see what lens you're using). I think by ditching the pink lighting, taking the picture higher up, giving the black background some more light, and using a warmer white balance would help tremendously. |

100_2050by KevinRiggsComment by Plexxoid: Excellent photo, Kevin. Her tan skin contrasting with the washed out shorts does pose a difficult challenge. Might try different shorts, first off, but you could probably recover it in RAW. Another thing you might try in a later shoot is using a diffuser panel just to block off a little bit of light from the softbox from the lower half.
edit: Also, I'd like to see a bit more detail in the background. In the upper right corner, it begins to darken. I think if that gradient went from corner to opposite corner, she'd really stand out. Message edited by author 2005-05-12 10:48:35. |

100_2050by KevinRiggsComment by theSaj: Great shot.... *drool*
Still getting a bit of that wash out, white garments on white background. If you try the filter, let me know how it works for you?
But great shot... |

100_1930by KevinRiggsComment by theSaj: Great shot, only imperfection being the white washing of the arm. I think my idea of the dark gradient filter might work here. Allowing you to maintain the bright vibrancy of her face but garner more contrast and definition on the sweatshirt.
Superb job on her face though....looks very professional. (Nice to know you took this with the lens I just bought. ;) |

100_2301by KevinRiggsComment by theSaj: Nice composition, almost looks like mid-eastern model shots...
I think the red is not her color, try yellow or perhaps a dark purple...yes that might do it... |

100_2050by KevinRiggsComment by Prime_Time: Nice light on the face, nice pose. Only thing I see is her shorts to the back ground seem to blend in.(her right) If the grey corner at the top was at bottom, more like gradient. I think it would help. |

100_1930by KevinRiggsComment by ClickNSee: Another great image. I wonder what this would look like with a black background. Would love to see that, just for kicks. Keep up the good work, your goin' good. |
