Irisby StOlafPhotographerComment by yanko: I assume this is a microwaved CD? I don't think I've seen one that bubbled up like that before so from a curiosity standpoint it's pretty cool. So good job adding a new spin on it. One thing I noticed when I messed around with this concept a while back was when I used a cd with an all black print on one side after it was cooked you could shine a light from underneath it would produce a very contrasty b/w look. You may want to try that if you haven't already. Message edited by author 2008-07-29 19:35:53. |

Sugar, more uplifting than air!by StOlafPhotographerComment by Art Roflmao: (Didn't vote) Looking at picture, reading title, scratching head. I kinda get it, but it lacks immediate recognizability. Hard to tell what it is on the right. Better lighting and not changing the orientation might have made a difference. Hope that helps. |

Sugar, more uplifting than air!by StOlafPhotographerComment by zackdezon: I didn't vote in this challenge, but I really like this image. I don't see why it wouldn't fare well. Great choice with the reorient--it looks like the sugar is being shot out of it.
Maybe a little less contrast/further frame of reference on the sugar holder proper would help out those who couldn't figure out the image. |

Unfortunate but true....by StOlafPhotographerComment by violinist123: Poor composition, unflattering lighting, unappealing hairs and lint on the felt background. The concept is novel, though unlikely to play well on DPC. From a technical point of view, the shot doesn't stand a chance. |

Unfortunate but true....by StOlafPhotographerComment by rinac: Hehehe, funny set up. A couple of issues I have with the image though, is the harsh lighting (a little more diffusion would have helped) and the backdrop which looks untidy and a bit messy. |
