Looks as if the rock is sticking its skeleton head underwater, and peering at the photographer. Excellent smoothing of the water, and great colour. One of my favourites.

Weird proportions, not sure what's going on here, it feels like the whole landscape is being sucked into some sort of vortex. Perhaps it's just the cloud movement, perhaps I'm just up too late commenting, but it's one bizarre effect!

I'm not sure if the skull was placed for the shot or was naturally at this location. Either way this shot is excellent. I really like the colors in the sky with the almost silhouette of the rock formation. Spot on! BB

What an amazing looking place -- looks like it was straight out of a movie scene! I love the color of the sky, and the skull gives it a rather mysterious feel. It would have been cool if the skull had been moving in such a way that there was a bit of a wake behind it. I don't know if that would have been possible (I'm sure it would have taken quite a bit of work to pull off), but that would have bumped this from a 9 to a 10 for me. This is my 4,000th comment at DPC... thanks for being my milestone photo comment! :)
