I haven't read any articles about flowers in NG lately and I am a recent subscriber. This is a beautiful shot however but takes up the whole frame and I doubt would be chosen for a mag cover. I love the color and texture in this photo.

One of the only National Geographic shots without an ugly yellow border! Well done :) This is a beautiful shot. The only thing I would like to see done differently is the lighting/focus on the lower petals. I think this shot would be perfect if the lighting and focus was uniform all around. Great macro work.

I think I might have gone with another magazine than National Geographic for this photo... I don't often seen just flowers on the front of NG. Just my opinion though. Pretty nicely done photo... a little bright at the bottom, and since the rest is in focus I think I would have liked to have seen it all in focus. This is a nice flower macro but because of the magazine you chose to use, i don't think it fits the theme. Thats just my opinion though.
